Grant Request Application
The Morris J. & Betty Kaplun Foundation makes small grants (usually between $1,000 and $5,000) to non-profits with varied missions, with
special interest (but not exclusively) in organizations that have Jewish roots and constituencies in the United States and Israel, as well as worldwide, and that perform work in the areas of
blindness and medical research, poverty, service learning and child welfare. Our goal is to support
projects and work that would not otherwise be feasible. We fund ongoing general expenses as well as new initiatives. Because of the size of our grants, we typically do not give to large organizations, hospitals,
museums, or to organizations with annual budgets substantially above $1 million or assets greater than $5 million.
The Foundation does not give to individuals, synagogues, churches or other institutions of worship.
U.S. applicants must be 501(c)(3) non-profits. The Foundation, whose fiscal year ends August 31, does not give to the same organization more than once in any fiscal year.
